A Tribute to the Womens World Champions, 2025
They said, “You can’t”
She smiled instead—
For every “NO’ she ever heard
She rose again, though hearts were scarred.
From 1973 to 2025
They played, they fell, the dream stayed alive.
Each boundary was more than a score,
it opened hearts that shut before.
When a brother said, “Leave it, not your game”
Her silence burned, but so did flame.
When a father sighed, “My son must dream”
She built her path through self-esteem.
When a mother prayed, “What will they say? She’s girl and would go one day”
But this girl carved her own highway.
Through whispers soft and judgments loud,
she found her place, she made us proud.
When a boss declared, “You’re good, but not best”
Her calm reply outshone the rest.
When, they told her, “Now you’re a wife and mom”
She turned restraint to roaring storm.
Yes, she can cook and, she can clean too,
But let her play when she wants to.
Yes, she can fly and, she can drive too.
And, she can be a Champion—if she wants to.
For when that ball soared through the sky,
It wasn’t luck that let it fly.
It was the voice of every girl denied,
The echo of dreams they never tried.
To the parents who waited, to friends who cheered,
to faith that stayed though hopes were feared.
This victory is for all who stay,
till dawn replaces yesterday.
She rose beyond, with every fall,
she showed the world—she can have it all.
Not better, not less, just truly free,
a mirror of what the world should be.
Change begins when one takes stand,
with courage lit in her own hand.
One dream, one choice, one moment’s glory.
And there—She just changed her story!
So, rise, dear sisters, cheer the flame,
walk tall, no fear, no shame, no blame.
For when one woman breaks her chain,
My daughter & yours, a million more will live again!!
